Statement zum Angriff auf die Ukraine
Der russische Angriff auf die Ukraine bricht in vielfacher Hinsicht Recht und ist unvereinbar mit unserer Vorstellung davon, wie wir zusammenleben wollen. Wie viele sind wir fassungslos und schockiert angesichts der dramatischen aktuellen Lage im östlichen Europa. Für die Bevölkerung vor Ort sind die Folgen katastrophal und unerträglich. Ihr gilt unsere Solidarität und Anteilnahme!
Die Wahrung von Recht und Rechtsstaatlichkeit ist in der Bundesrepublik und weltweit die Grundlage für ein demokratisches und friedvolles Zusammenleben. Aus dieser Überzeugung heraus ist unsere Stiftung entstanden und auf ihr fußt unsere Arbeit.
Das Recht und insbesondere die in den Menschenrechten verbürgten Freiheiten und Ansprüche müssen bewahrt werden. Wir stellen uns daher nachdrücklich hinter all diejenigen, die sich in der aktuellen Kriegssituation hierfür einsetzen.

Statement regarding the attack on Ukraine
The Russian attack on Ukraine is breaking the law on many levels and is irreconcilable with our idea of society and how we want to live together. Like many, we are stunned and shocked by the current dramatic situation in Eastern Europe. But for the local population in particular, the consequences are catastrophic and unbearable. Our solidarity and sympathy are with them!
Compliance with the law and the rule of law is the basis for democratic and peaceful coexistence not only in the Federal Republic of Germany, but also globally. This is the conviction out of which our foundation was created and on which our work is based.
The law and especially human rights as well as the freedom and rights they guarantee must be preserved. We therefore stand with all those who are committed to this goal in the current war situation.
