About the Stiftung Forum recht

The Forum Recht Foundation was established in 2019 as a foundation under public law directly subordinate to the federal government by an act of the German Bundestag, with its headquarters in Karlsruhe and an additional location in Leipzig. It organizes a wide range of in-person and digital exhibitions, events, and educational programs and creates spaces where people can discuss their experiences with the law and the rule of law: in Karlsruhe, Leipzig, on the road throughout Germany, and online. Through exhibitions, workshops, and a live podcast, the foundation offers innovative ways to engage with the topics of law and the rule of law.

Since July 2024, the lawyer and historian Dr. Cord Brügmann has been Director of the Stiftung Forum Recht. Bettina Limperg, President of the Federal Court of Justice, heads the Trustees, while Prof. Dr. Susanne Baer, former judge of the Federal Constitutional Court, chairs the Foundation Advisory Board.
