In guter Verfassung?
How is the German Basic Law (Grundgesetz) faring in the year of its 75th birthday? And what about its future? The annual theme "In guter Verfassung? Die Zukunft des Rechtsstaats“The Forum Recht 2024 Foundation made these questions the focus of its activities.”.
The annual program was kicked off by the international photo exhibition SPRAWIEDLIWOŚĆ - JUSTICE by Polish photographer Piotr Wójcik in cooperation with the Fundacja Picture Doc.
Law and justice
Our annual theme for 2023, "Law and justice", was dedicated to questions such as: Is law always fair and just? What do people mean by justice? Who is in charge in a constitutional state?
Two special artistic projects revolved around law and justice. In Braunschweig, our series of talks accompanying the theater project by the directing duo KrügerXWeiß offered impulses on the central functions of court proceedings for our society. The discussions with legal experts focused on topics such as trial publicity or "transitional justice".
With the Europaplatz (Recht sprechen) project, the artist Yves Mettler and lawyer Antoine Bailleux made EU court rulings tangible through installations in Karlsruhe's urban space. The project was developed in cooperation with Stiftung Forum Recht and the Centre Culturel Franco Allemande.

Our Hybrid Public Science Labs 2022 & 2023
How can we make law and the rule of law tangible and what kind of spaces are needed for participatory offerings? In 2022 and 2023, Stiftung Forum Recht invited international experts and representatives from various areas to discuss these questions and find best-practice examples.
