Living in a constitutional state - what does that mean for you?
Law and the constitutional state – they both sound a bit abstract and sometimes very far away. Nevertheless, the law regulates our coexistence – everything from human rights to traffic regulations. Though we encounter it in our everyday lives, it is anything but self-evident. It imposes limitations but also endows us with important freedoms. The constitutional state (Rechtsstaat) lives from features such as legal certainty, equality before the law, and the separation of powers. Above all, however, it prospers from the acceptance and commitment of the people in the country.
Our educational offerings are intended to make the constitutional state both more tangible and intelligible to a broad spectrum of people. We do this by offering workshops, educational materials, events, continuing education courses, in-person meetings, exhibitions, and much more. Our activities and offerings encompass a broad spectrum: some are more creative and relaxed, others are more serious, and a few are quite entertaining – but regardless of the format, they are always informative!

Opening of the Pop-Up Exhibition in Karlsruhe
On July 1, we invite you to the opening of the Forum Recht Foundation’s first pop-up exhibition! „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ will be on display around the clock every day from July 1 through August 3, 2025, at Karlsruhe Central Station. Admission is free!

Quiz Night on Law and Justice
„Pretty Good Guess – The Law & Justice Quiz“: From June 10 to 27, teams of two to six people can sign up to participate in our first big quiz night in Karlsruhe as part of our Open House on June 28, 2025!

„Quite Urban! Europe Edition“
As part of Europe Day 2025, the Forum Recht Foundation hosted the first-ever „Recht stadtlich!“ city tour with a European theme through Karlsruhe on May 8 and 9. This special edition tour is now available for groups of eight or more to book free of charge.

City tours on justice and the rule of law are kicking off in Leipzig
Starting May 22, the Forum Recht Foundation will offer a free monthly city walking tour in Leipzig focusing on the law and the rule of law. Lasting about two hours, the „Recht stadtlich!“ tour winds through downtown Leipzig and highlights how closely the law is intertwined with everyday life.

That was the theme day in Strasbourg
The theme day „Human Rights Protection in Europe“ took participants to the European Court of Human Rights and the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on Friday, March 28, 2025.

Prison theme day
On June 5, 2025, the next theme day on the topic of the correctional system will take place at the Halle/Saale Correctional Facility. The training session will address the complex topics of the correctional system, punishment, and the administration of criminal justice.
