in the Forum Law Foundation 

"In good shape?" - the podcast by Stiftung Forum Recht and Detektor.fm is being created in Leipzig as a participatory format

Forum Recht on air! At the end of April, the rooms of the Forum Recht Foundation on the first floor of Universitätsstraße 20 in Leipzig were transformed into a pop-up podcast studio for the first time. With spring behind them, the predominantly student audience was able to devote two evenings to important questions about the Basic Law and democracy in the present and future over cool drinks and become part of a podcast themselves.

Together with the podcast radio detektor.fm from Leipzig, the Stiftung Forum Recht kicked off its 2024 podcast season on April 25 and 26. Justice, Baby!the podcast on law and justice in everyday life from last year, the live podcast In good shape - the Basic Law for tomorrow a look into the future: How fit is our Basic Law for the next 75 years?

A live podcast also means that the audience can contribute directly to the conversation with questions, ideas, impressions and interactive elements such as polls. Speaker Rabea Schloz moderates the discussions on stage and later guides the audience through the episodes as podcast host. In April, she met Arne Semsrott (Journalist and founder of AskTheState), Juliana Talg & Klaas Müller (Research assistants in the Thuringia project of the Verfassungsblog) and Nora Markard (Professor of Public International Law and International Human Rights Protection at the University of Münster) in Leipzig.

The podcast

After the live events, the podcast episodes on different future perspectives on our Basic Law are created from the recorded talks, sound bites from the audience and additional material. The episodes thus also offer guests at the events a new listening experience.

The first episodes of the podcast are online just in time for the anniversary of the Constitution in May 2024 - available on all podcast platforms and on the website of the Stiftung Forum Recht.

Episode 1: The right and the rule of law - how threatened is our constitution? 

Episode 2: How are constitutional states being undermined worldwide? 

Episode 3 will be released on June 5, 2024.

Save The Date: Next live event in September 2024

Anyone who missed the first talks will get on September 05 and 06, 2024 the opportunity to take part in the second live podcast event in Leipzig. We will inform you about the invited guests as soon as possible!

Admission is free, pre-registration is not necessary!
