FOUNDATION FORUM RIGHT LAUNCHES ANNUAL PROGRAMME
ANNUAL THEMES 2022: "LAW IN EVERYDAY LIFE" AND "LAW AND JUSTICE"
What is a constitutional state? Is the law fair? What does it mean to live in a constitutional state?
Law and the rule of law permeate our everyday lives - and yet the rule of law seems abstract to many.
Our events highlight the themes of the year 2022 "Law in everyday life" and "Law and justice" We will discuss law and the rule of law with you from different perspectives - at panel discussions, film evenings, book presentations or through artistic interventions.
Law in everyday life
Rules and laws permeate our everyday lives - from road traffic regulations and data protection on social media to nationwide infection control measures. There is also a basic awareness of our own rights. Nevertheless, many people find it difficult to imagine what the rule of law means.
Where does the rule of law become tangible in people's everyday lives? We will get to the bottom of this and other questions using everyday situations and selected case studies as well as artistic interventions. We want to show how the law works in our everyday lives.
Law and justice
The second annual theme "Law and Justice" is based on the basic human need for justice as the starting point for the desire for a fair legal system. It is dedicated to the tense relationship between justice and the rule of law and combines legal-sociological and cultural-historical approaches to the question of what is fair and just.
