„Truly Urban!“ – The Forum Recht Foundation’s city tours are starting up again in Karlsruhe

Start of the season – beginning April 9, the Forum Recht Foundation will once again be hosting its popular monthly city tour, „Recht stadtlich!“.

Karlsruhe. After a winter break, the city walking tour will resume on a regular basis starting April 9, 2026 „Quite Urban! A Tour of Karlsruhe“ by the Forum Recht Foundation ... takes place. Over the course of seven sessions, this free city tour shows participants where to find interesting and exciting events and locations throughout Karlsruhe’s cityscape where they can discuss „law“ and learn more about it.

From the Buback Assassination to the Federal Constitutional Court – Participants discover a new side of Karlsruhe.
What exactly does the Federal Court of Justice do? What was the story again with the Buback assassination and the RAF? How likely is it that a bicycle theft will be solved? And what does the law have to do with our everyday lives? Over the course of about two hours, participants explore Karlsruhe’s curiosities, learn more about the city’s scandals—both big and small—and discover courts and fascinating legal cases. From the most progressive constitution to art in public spaces, „Recht stadtlich!“ has it all.

The Forum Recht Foundation's city walking tour takes place on the second Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. through October.
The tour is free and will be conducted in German; registration is not required. Participants should be looking forward to a walk of approximately 2.8 kilometers and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The route is designed to be accessible. The Forum Recht Foundation will announce any weather-related changes on its website and via its social media channels.

„Europe Edition“ for Europe Day
To mark Europe Day, the foundation is hosting an event on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m., a special edition of „Recht stadtlich!“ in Karlsruhe, during which Europe and European Law will be the focus. During the tour, participants will learn who is legally responsible for what in Europe and how European law affects our daily lives.
