The city walking tours take place in Karlsruhe from April through October, every second Thursday of the month, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.! In 2026, the May event will take place on Saturday, May 9, at 11:00 a.m. as the European Edition as part of the Europe Day takes place.
European Edition: Since 2025 In Karlsruhe, for groups of ten or more, you can book the Europe Edition of the city tour in addition to the standard version—the walk takes you past similar Places like the Standard Tour, although Europe and European law are the main focus. When do the city tours take place?
The Free Walking Tour with the Stiftung Forum Recht takes place Always on the second Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. in Karlsruhe takes place.

It lasts around two hours.
How much does it cost to participate?
Are the tours barrier-free?
The tour is accessible. The route features lowered curbs for wheelchair users. Participants should be comfortable with a walk of approximately 2.8 km. Please note that we do not offer additional assistance for people with visual or hearing impairments. Headphones are available for about 30 guests, and the tour guide’s voice is amplified with a microphone. You should also expect to encounter numerous sensory stimuli in the urban environment during the tour.

What language does the "tour guide" speak?
Unless otherwise published, the "tour guides" speak German.
Where does the tour start and end?
We'll meet at 5:00 p.m. in front of the Karlsruhe Tourist Information Office on Marktplatz. Kaiserstrasse 72-74, 76133 Karlsruhe. Please look for an orange umbrella!
The final destination is the Forum Recht Foundation: Karlstraße 45 A, 76133 Karlsruhe.
Does it also take place in the rain?
A few drops should not slow us down, but if storms, hail and thunderstorms are forecast, we will communicate weather-related changes here on the website and on our social media channels. Please bring appropriate clothing for the weather.

If you'd like to book a city walking tour for a group in Karlsruhe, you'll be asked whether you'd like to take the „Recht stadtlich!“ tour in the Standard Version or European Edition would like to experience. In the second case, Europe and European law are the thematic focus of the city tour, and the locations visited reflect this theme. The standard version explores curious and historical legal cases and takes you to places throughout the city where you can experience the law in everyday life.
