Board of Trustees of the Forum Recht Foundation meets in Berlin
Bettina Limperg and Dr. Günter Krings elected as chair
On Friday, October 18, 2024, the newly constituted Board of Trustees of the Stiftung Forum Recht met for its constituent meeting at the German Bundestag in Berlin. The President of the Federal Court of Justice Bettina Limperg was confirmed in her position as Chair of the Board. She had already been elected as the first Chairwoman in 2019. Limperg has been involved with the Foundation's founding process for many years, including the first Karlsruhe initiative which had been active long before the Stiftung Forum Recht was established. Her deputy will be Dr. Günter Krings. He succeeds Carsten Körber, who is no longer a member of the Board. Find out more about all members of our Board of Trustees here.
Review and Outlook
In addition to the chair election, the Foundation's Board of Directors and administration reported on the activities of the past six months, presented the biennial report for 2022 to 2024 and explained the financial and personnel planning from 2025.
According to the Foundation Act, the Board of Trustees includes one representative each from the cities of Karlsruhe and Leipzig as well as eleven members of the German Bundestag and one member each from the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community. Three foundation bodies shape the work of the Stiftung Forum Recht: The Board of Trustees decides on all fundamental issues of the foundation. The Directorate is responsible for management. There is also a Foundation Advisory Board which supports the foundation's work in terms of content and consists of representatives from various institutions and scientific fields as well as representatives of civil society.
