Live Podcast Event: „In Good Shape? The Constitution for Tomorrow“
Together with the detektor.fm Podcast Radio Station From Leipzig, we'll be producing our joint podcast project in 2024 "In good shape? The Basic Law for tomorrow". We look forward to welcoming you to the podcast’s first live event at our offices in Leipzig!
In the year marking the 75th anniversary of the Basic Law, the podcast „In Good Shape? The Basic Law for Tomorrow“ explores the state of the Basic Law and its role in German society. How well-suited is our Constitution for the next 75 years? What threats does it face from both outside and within—from the consequences of climate change to infiltration by far-right extremists? How can we protect it, but also shape it? And is it even possible to amend a constitution just like that?
Anyone who's always wanted to see the Recording a Podcast Anyone who wants to join in and participate can do so at „In guter Verfassung?“ At the first live podcast event on April 25 and 26, 2024, four fascinating experts from the fields of law, academia, politics, and civil society will discuss the question „Can a constitutional state democratically abolish itself?“ The audience is invited to participate in the discussions—by asking questions, sharing their thoughts, and engaging with interactive elements such as polls. In a relaxed atmosphere, the conversations can continue even after the recordings are over.
The podcast will go live just in time for the Constitution’s anniversary in May 2024 and will be available on all podcast platforms and on the Forum Recht Foundation’s website. The kickoff event on April 25 and 26, 2024, will be followed by two additional live podcast events in the summer.
