In cooperation with the Kinemathek Karlsruhe, we’re embarking on a cinematic exploration of the topic „LAW AND JUSTICE: BETWEEN UTOPIA AND REALITY“.

Join us and a select group of experts in a discussion on climate, punishment, sports, and justice, and discover the highlights of international film culture with us.

Our next movie and discussion night: „Oeconomia“ by Carmen Losmann (Germany, 2020)

„How does money come into the world?“ A question that’s only seemingly simple, as the 2020 documentary „Oeconomia“ shows. After all, how exactly does the monetary system work? Using an episodic narrative style, the film delves into the inner workings of the (monetary) economy, which often seems inaccessible and confusing. Moving beyond detached platitudes, it takes a close look at the rules of economic growth and its consequences.

We’re screening the film as part of our „Law and Justice“ film series in cooperation with the Kinemathek Karlsruhe. Can’t make it on this date? No problem: On September 27, 2023, our discussion and film series continues with the film „König hört auf“ and some exciting guests!
