Theme days for multipliers

The new training programme of Stiftung Forum Recht

With the Theme Days, Stiftung Forum Recht is introducing a new training offer for professionals at the end of 2024. The one-day trainings are specifically designed for multipliers from various fields and combine an on-site visit of a location related to law and the rule of law with discussions, expert lectures and workshop sessions in their programme. The aim is to provide participants with practical insights and in-depth knowledge which they can share with their target groups and that help them clarify common misconceptions.

First Theme Day Edition: The Prison System in Germany

The new training format will kick off with the topic of the prison system in Germany, including visits to prisons in Düsseldorf (November 29, 2024) and Bruchsal (December 6, 2024). It is regularly discussed in public how to deal with offenders or whether punishments are sufficiently harsh. However, very few people have ever seen the inside of a prison. There is often a lack of knowledge about what it actually means to be imprisoned in Germany. The public debate often focuses on "locking people up", while the issues of reintegration and the meaning of punishment are pushed into the background.

Through practical insights and the exchange with representatives from academia, the Theme Days invite to get a more differentiated picture of the prison system's tasks, challenges and problems.

The registration deadline for both training courses expired on November 20. We are planning further training courses in the future. If you have any questions, please send an e-mail to our Placement team
