Forum Recht Foundation Presents a Pop-Up Exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ in Essen

The mobile pop-up exhibition „Law – The Rules of Everyday Life“ by the Forum Recht Foundation is making its first stop in Essen as part of its tour through Germany. From February 7 to March 5, 2026, the interactive exhibition at the main train station invites visitors to think along and get involved.

In Essen, the Forum Recht Foundation is presenting the pop-up exhibition in cooperation with MeinEinkaufsbahnhof GmbH and the Ministry of Justice of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. After stops in Karlsruhe, Mönchengladbach, Leipzig, Dresden, Dortmund, and Bochum, it is now on display in Essen for four weeks.

Where do we encounter the law in our daily lives—and how does it affect our lives? Whether you're renting an apartment, at work, on the road, or within your family: the law is everywhere. It guides and structures our daily lives together.

The Forum Recht Foundation addresses these everyday situations in its pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ Complex legal topics are presented here in an accessible and interactive way. Visitors are expressly invited to participate: Using QR codes and a web app, they can record videos with their own smartphones and share their personal experiences on the new Participation platform the Forum Recht Foundation. As a result, the exhibition continues to grow over time—offering diverse perspectives on the role of law in our daily lives. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the world of law in a playful way through quizzes and spinning cubes.

The traveling exhibition has been touring Germany since July 2025 and can be seen at train stations, shopping centers, and marketplaces—anywhere where the law and everyday life intersect.

„Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ will be on display around the clock at Essen Central Station starting February 7. Admission to the exhibition is free.
