Forum Recht Foundation Launches Interactive Discussion Series in Karlsruhe and Leipzig
Legal topics that concern us all: In the new monthly discussion series „Let’s Talk About Law,“ the Forum Recht Foundation discusses current and fundamental issues related to our legal system—from tenancy law to freedom of speech. The series kicks off with a conversation with Inken Gallner, President of the Federal Labor Court, on February 12, 2025, in Karlsruhe.
Karlsruhe, January 10, 2025. The Forum Recht Foundation is introducing a new discussion format: Starting in February, it will host a monthly discussion series „Let’s Talk About Law“ . The guests are Prominent Figures from Various Fields of Law, who discuss their day-to-day work and share their perspectives on a current legal issue. The Audience can ask questions and thus engage in direct dialogue with the guests. The series is moderated by Marie-Elisabeth Miersch, a research associate at the foundation.
The first event in the series, to be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in Karlsruhe, will focus on the topic „Labor Law in Transition“. The Inken Gallner, President of the Federal Labor Court She provides insights into her work and discusses the role of the court in a dynamic world of work. What current issues is the Federal Labor Court addressing at the moment? How are flexible work models, crises, and new technologies changing labor law? The discussion will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Stiftung Forum Recht in Karlsruhe (Karlstraße 45A). One week later, on February 19, 2025, „Let’s Talk About Recht“ will also launch in Leipzig. Starting in March, the series will alternate monthly between Karlsruhe and Leipzig.
„Let’s Talk About Law“ offers insights into various areas of law and the rule of law, using real-life examples to illustrate where and how they play a role in everyday life and what significance they hold for our society. Individual conversations are recorded and are subsequently available as Podcast Available on the foundation's website and on popular podcast platforms.
