„Truly Urban!“ – The Forum Recht Foundation’s city walking tours are starting up again in Leipzig
Start of the season – beginning April 16, the Forum Recht Foundation will once again be hosting its popular monthly city tour, „Recht stadtlich!“.
Leipzig. After a winter break, the city walking tour will resume on a regular basis starting April 16, 2026 „Quite Urban! A Tour of Leipzig“ by the Forum Recht Foundation ...will take place. Over the course of seven sessions, this free city tour will show participants where in Leipzig there are interesting and exciting events and places to talk about „law.“.
From the Mephisto ruling to the Federal Administrative Court—participants discover a new side of Leipzig.
What was that again about freedom of assembly? What real-life court rulings lie behind *Woyzeck* and *Mephisto*? And what does the Federal Administrative Court do? On this roughly two-hour tour through downtown, participants will explore courthouses and other locations in Leipzig linked to fascinating legal cases. At each stop, the tour uses current and historical events to illustrate how the law often shapes daily life without us even noticing—and where we encounter it in the city.
The Forum Recht Foundation's city walking tour takes place on the third Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. through October.
The tour is free and will be conducted in German; registration is not required. Participants should be looking forward to a walk of approximately 3 kilometers and wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The route is designed to be accessible. The Forum Recht Foundation will announce any weather-related changes on its website and via its social media channels.
