Forum Recht Foundation Presents a Pop-Up Exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ in Dresden and Pirna

The mobile pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ by the Forum Recht Foundation is making stops in Dresden and Pirna as part of its tour through Germany. It invites visitors to discover the role of law in everyday life in a playful and interactive way—by participating, reflecting, and discussing.

Dresden. With support from the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and the COSMO Science Forum, the Forum Recht Foundation is presenting the Pop-up Exhibition: „Law – The Rules of Everyday Life“ in Dresden. On Thursday, October 16, will she at 10:00 a.m. on the plaza in front of the Kulturpalast in Dresden will open. From October 14 to November 2, 2025, it will be open to visitors there 24 hours a day, every day.

„Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ presents complex legal topics in an understandable and interactive way. Where do we encounter the law in our daily lives—and how does it affect our lives? Whether when renting an apartment, at work, on the road, or within the family: the law is everywhere, as the exhibition makes clear, and it explicitly invites visitors to get involved: Using QR codes and a web app, they can record videos with their own smartphones and share their personal experiences. In this way, the exhibition continues to grow over time. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the world of law in a playful way through a quiz and a spinning cube.

In Pirna, “Law – The Rules of Everyday Life" on Wednesday, November 5, at 1:30 p.m. in the Vocational „Friedrich Siemens“ School Complex, Pirna opens. It will be performing there from November 4 through November 23, 2025. It is open to visitors on November 5, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on November 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Open. Separate appointments for groups can be arranged by emailing l.pierskalla@aktion-zivilcourage.de. In addition to the Saxon State Ministry of Justice, the „Friedrich Siemens“ Vocational Training Center in Pirna, Aktion Zivilcourage e.V., and the District Office of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains are among the collaborating partners.

The accompanying program for the exhibition: „Rightly So: In Demand”“t!"

As part of the accompanying program, the Forum Recht Foundation in Dresden is hosting an event on October 16 at 6:00 p.m. and on October 27 at 5:00 p.m. To the Open Discussion Session „Right on: Let’s Dig Deeper!“ right at the exhibition. Visitors can talk to a lawyer, a judge, or other legal professionals about the „rules of everyday life“—in a relaxed and down-to-earth setting.

A card game featuring personal, everyday, and specialized questions about the law and the rule of law—developed by the Forum Recht Foundation for this program and its broader educational work—helps kick off the conversation. In this way, visitors to the exhibition can discover in a playful way how the law permeates our daily lives and discuss different perspectives on the rule of law.

The traveling exhibition has been touring Germany since July 2025 and can be seen at train stations, shopping centers, and marketplaces—anywhere where the law and everyday life intersect. Before its stops in Dresden and Pirna, „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ was already on display in Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Mönchengladbach, and Leipzig. Admission to the exhibition and the accompanying program is free.
