New: A flexible indoor version of the exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“

Starting in April 2026, the exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ by the Forum Recht Foundation will also be touring Germany as a flexible indoor version. Held at public institutions, schools, libraries, museums, courts, and other venues, the interactive exhibition invites visitors to think critically and get involved.

Karlsruhe. Where do we encounter the law in our daily lives—and how does it influence our lives? Whether when renting an apartment, at work, on the road, or within the family: the law is everywhere. It shapes and regulates our daily interactions. With the exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ brings the Stiftung Forum Recht Now, with the new indoor version, the exhibition brings the topic to where people come together: cultural, educational, and judicial venues throughout Germany. It builds on the successful pop-up exhibition by the Forum Recht Foundation, which has been touring Germany since July 2025, and adapts its approach to a flexible indoor format.

„I’m particularly pleased by the high demand and the fact that the indoor exhibition—with its many tour locations—is already largely booked out through the end of 2026. “With the indoor version, we can respond more flexibly to the needs of schools or courts, while the outdoor version will continue to tour train stations and marketplaces,” explains Charlotte Großmann, Exhibition Project Manager at the Forum Recht Foundation.

Four Case Studies—Four Functions of the Law

The exhibition focuses on four cases, each of which examines an everyday situation. Through concrete examples, it illustrates the functions that the law fulfills in our shared lives. The exhibition invites visitors to share their own experiences with the law and to discuss the role that rules play in society.

Interactive and fun: Get involved!

A distinctive feature of the exhibition is its interactive elements. They provide a playful approach to complex topics and encourage active engagement with the law. An on-site quiz invites visitors to test their knowledge of everyday legal issues, and in the spinning cube game, visitors resolve tricky conflict situations. The interactive formats encourage participation, discussion, and discovery. Through a web app, visitors can also share their own experiences with the law and become part of the exhibition themselves.
