New Event Series in Leipzig: “Law in Dialogue” Forum. Insights with Cord Brügmann

To kick off the after-work series „Forum Recht im Dialog: Insights with Cord Brügmann,“ Christiane Munsberg will be the guest speaker on June 18 at 5:30 p.m. Among other topics, the discussion will focus on literature and law as factors contributing to Leipzig’s appeal as a location.

Leipzig. Starting in May 2025, the Forum Recht Foundation will host evening discussions several times a year at its locations in Karlsruhe and Leipzig. The events will feature fascinating guests from the legal profession, cultural institutions, and the education sector. In a keynote session—in the form of a brief discussion—they will join the foundation’s director, Dr. Cord Brügmann, to explore a topic related to the work of the Forum Recht Foundation: ranging from current issues in law and the rule of law to future-oriented topics and developments within the Forum Recht Foundation itself.

Kickoff in Leipzig with Christiane Munsberg

As the cultural affairs officer at Bertelsmann SE, she has Christiane Munsberg Since 1992, she has helped shape the Leipzig Book Fair and, among other things, developed the literary authors„ forum “Das Blaue Sofa„ in collaboration with ZDF, Deutschlandfunk Kultur, and 3sat. Today, she curates event series and panel discussions as part of the “Leipzig liest„ reading festival, thereby continuing to actively shape the city’s literary landscape. “In times of profound crises and upheaval, we need places that invite us to think, listen, and discuss together. Literary events create such opportunities: They promote participation, make diversity tangible, and open up spaces for lively dialogue. After all, democracy thrives on listening, tolerance, and respectful exchange,” says Christiane Munsberg.

Together with Cord Brügmann, she will discuss the significance of cultural venues. They will also explore the connection between these venues and the rule of law, and shed light on the role of the Forum Recht Foundation in Leipzig’s civic society. Following the discussion, the foundation invites all guests to join in a conversation over drinks.
