Federal Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann Visits the Forum Recht Foundation 

Karlsruhe. How Federal Minister of Justice DMr. Marco Buschmann During his inaugural visit to the Forum Recht Foundation, he explained that „our rule of law […] must be brought to life. The Forum Recht Foundation makes an outstanding contribution to this by introducing young people in particular to the rule of law and our democratic achievements—both in person in Karlsruhe and Leipzig and online. This is incredibly important, especially in times like these. For only if the fundamental principles of the rule of law are lived out and defended every day can we continue to live together in freedom in the future.“

Henrike Claussen, Director of the Forum Recht Foundation explained, however:

„We are very pleased to welcome the minister. Through the foundation, we aim to create spaces where different segments of the population can discuss their experiences with the law and the rule of law. To this end, we are developing new buildings in both Karlsruhe and Leipzig to serve as information and dialogue centers, where we will address current issues and make them the subject of public dialogue. It is particularly important to us to embrace the diversity of voices in society and to use contemporary formats to create spaces for the exchange of ideas, communication, and mutual understanding.“

During a visit to the Foundation’s temporary headquarters in Karlsruhe, Foundation Director Henrike Claussen and the Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Bettina Limperg—who is also President of the Federal Court of Justice—briefed Federal Minister of Justice Dr. Marco Buschmann on the Foundation’s activities. The Executive Board reported on the foundation’s history and future plans. This was followed by a tour led by foundation staff to various stations showcasing past programs and activities.
