The mobile pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ by the Forum Recht Foundation is coming to Erfurt for the first time as part of its tour of Germany. Located in the entrance hall of Erfurt Central Station, the interactive exhibition will invite visitors to think along and participate from August 18 through September 16, 2026.
Where do we encounter the law in our daily lives—and how does it influence our lives? Whether we’re renting an apartment, at work, on the road, or within our families: the law is everywhere. It guides and structures our daily lives together.
The Forum Recht Foundation addresses these everyday situations in its pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ Complex legal topics are presented here in an accessible and interactive way. Visitors are expressly invited to participate: Using QR codes and a video app, they can record videos with their own smartphones and share their personal experiences on the new Participation platform the Forum Recht Foundation. As a result, the exhibition continues to grow over time—offering diverse perspectives on the role of law in our daily lives. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore the world of law in a playful way through quizzes and spinning cubes.
The traveling exhibition has been touring Germany since July 2025 and can be seen at train stations, shopping centers, and marketplaces—anywhere where the law and everyday life intersect. It is now making a stop at August 18 through September 16 in Erfurt in cooperation with My_Shopping_Station and the 75th German Lawyers' Congress. Admission to the exhibition is free.
In addition, the Forum Recht Foundation is offering an extensive accompanying program in conjunction with the 75th German Lawyers’ Congress. Foundation staff will lead visitors through the pop-up exhibition and engage them in conversation about the foundation’s work. The guided tours will take place on Tuesday, September 15, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. as well as on Wednesday, September 16, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. takes place.
On Tuesday, September 8, 6:00 p.m. The Forum Recht Foundation is organizing the event in collaboration with the 75th German Lawyers' Congress and the AWO Thuringia Regional Association A public forum on tenancy law will be held at the AWO Innovation Lab in Erfurt. Legal scholars will discuss issues related to tenancy law with interested members of the public and invite them to engage in an open dialogue.
