"The Rules of Everyday Life" Indoor Experience
Our successful interactive exhibition on law in everyday life can now be experienced in a new version designed for indoor spaces
We encounter the law everywhere—when renting an apartment, at work, on the road, or within the family. Yet the law often remains an abstract concept. The exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ The Forum Recht Foundation therefore explains complex legal topics in a way that is easy to understand and interactive.
Since the summer of 2025, the pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life“ has been on tour in various German cities, including Heidelberg, Mönchengladbach, Dresden, and Pirna. As it continues to make stops at different locations, End of April 2026 Its newly redesigned „little sister“ is making its debut in Dortmund and Trier. It isn’t actually any smaller, but it’s specifically designed for indoor spaces and offers greater flexibility in setup. This makes it the perfect solution for public institutions, schools, libraries, and museums—in other words, other gathering places where law and everyday life intersect. In terms of content and concept, it builds on the successful pop-up exhibition by the Forum Recht Foundation and translates its approach into a flexible indoor format.
What does the indoor exhibition have to offer?
- Similar to the outdoor exhibition, six light columns depict typical everyday situations and illustrate the role that law and legislation play in our daily lives. They can be arranged flexibly throughout the space.
- In addition, interactive elements playfully encourage visitors to get involved. Sixteen rotating cubes, each about the size of a stool, must be arranged in such a way that tricky interpersonal conflicts are resolved in a legally sound manner.
- On a screen, visitors can test their general knowledge in the quiz and watch video comments from other guests.
- Visitors can share their own experiences with the law via postcard or selfie video.
