Film screening of „NÜRNBERG“ (original version with subtitles) followed by a discussion with international law scholar Philipp Graebke

For the opening weekend of our Study Tour On the topic of „International Law“ in Karlsruhe, we invite you to a screening of the film „Nuremberg“ at the Schauburg Film Theater in Karlsruhe on Sunday, October 18, at 1:30 p.m. All interested individuals are welcome—regardless of whether they are participating in the study tour. The film tells the story of Douglas Kelley, a U.S. prison psychiatrist who is sent to Nuremberg at the start of the Nuremberg Trials against the principal war criminals. There, he is tasked with assessing the mental state of the most dangerous men of the fallen Third Reich, including Hermann Göring, the former President of the Reichstag and Reich Marshal of the Greater German Reich—one of the most powerful men after Adolf Hitler.

Following the film, there will be Philipp Graebke a brief introduction for the audience, and you’ll have the opportunity to speak with the expert on international law. Graebke is a research associate at the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, International Criminal Law, and Public International Law at the University of Erlangen-Frankfurt and conducts research on the Nuremberg Trials.
