"Quite urban!" A tour through Leipzig. Special date for the Festival of Lights
To mark the Leipzig Festival of Lights on October 9, 2025, the Forum Recht Foundation will be offering, starting at 3:30 p.m., a special guided tour of Leipzig’s legal landmarks. The tour, which is about three kilometers long, The long city walking tour begins at the square in front of the Federal Administrative Court, passes by the Regional Court, the New City Hall, and the Stasi Records Archive, continues to the Market Square, and from there proceeds through the Mädler Passage to St. Nicholas Church and on to Augustusplatz, ending at the offices of the Forum Recht Foundation.
The tour highlights Places related to the law, such as three major courts where cases are heard and reviewed. Participants will learn about fascinating real-life legal cases that demonstrate how closely the law is tied to the lives of many people and where they encounter it in the city.
The tour will be conducted in German. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The Forum Recht Foundation will announce any weather-related changes on its website and through its social media channels.
