LABOR LAW IN TRANSITION – A CONVERSATION WITH Inken GALLNER

The Forum Recht Foundation invites you to a discussion with Inken Gallner, President of the Federal Labor Court, on February 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., on the topic „Labor Law in Transition.“.

Karlsruhe, February 4, 2025. On February 12 is Inken Gallner the first guest in the new series of talks „Let’s Talk About Law“ the Forum Recht Foundation. The president of Germany's highest labor court will be speaking with Marie-Elisabeth Miersch, a research associate at the foundation, will provide insights into her day-to-day work at the Federal Labor Court in Erfurt. What current issues is the court dealing with? How are flexible work models, crises, and new technologies changing labor law?

On the topic of „Labor Law in Transition“ The first session of the Forum Recht Foundation’s new discussion series will focus on a legal area that directly affects and concerns many people in their everyday lives: How is my workplace changing? What is the current state of pay equity between women and men? What rights apply to time tracking and overtime pay? When can I exercise my right to strike? The Audience is explicitly invited to participate in the conversation by asking questions and to engage in direct dialogue with the guest.

Starting in February, the Forum Recht Foundation in Karlsruhe will be hosting a regular series of discussions through the end of the year „Let’s Talk About Law“ . The guests are always Prominent Figures from Various Fields of Law, who talk about their day-to-day work and share their perspectives on a current legal issue. The topics selected for this series of discussions are closely tied to people’s lives and are relevant to everyone: from labor law to tenancy law to freedom of speech.

The discussion will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the Stiftung Forum Recht in Karlsruhe (Karlstraße 45A). Admission is free.
