Democracy Day 2023 in Karlsruhe and Leipzig

Democracy and the rule of law—both thrive on listening, on engaging in debate, and on finding compromises that make a free, just, and peaceful life possible. Exactly 75 years after the Parliamentary Council convened in 1948—and presented the Basic Law just a few months later—the Basic Law remains as relevant today as it was then.

In September, therefore, the focus is on how people can make their voices heard and participate in our democracy based on the rule of law.

Democracy Days in Leipzig and Karlsruhe

Together with our partners, we are offering a diverse program in September to mark Democracy Day. In Leipzig load the Gewandhaus Orchestra and the Saxon State Office for political education under the theme „Response“from September 8 to 10, 2023, for Democracy Weekend. The Forum Recht Foundation will also be represented and is organizing the Workshop "Denounced!“together with the Spoken-word artist Jessy James LaFleur. On September 13 and 15 The Days of Democracy at the TRIANGEL.Space in Karlsruhe a wide range of opportunities to experience democracy and have a say. Whether at a Discovery Tour through the city or at the Barcamp on Disinformation – Our placement department is pleased to be a part of this.
