Workshop Series with the Bavarian Children's and Youth Film Festival (BKJFF)

The Bavarian Children’s and Youth Film Festival takes place every two years. It’s always held in a different city, in a new setting, featuring new film trends, a diverse range of themes, and the young filmmakers„ spirit of experimentation—but always with the same infectious passion and enthusiasm. The theme of the BKJFF 2024 is “Heroes.”.

Building on the collaboration that took place in 2022, the BKJFF, the Lower Bavarian Media Advisory Service, and the Forum Recht Foundation are offering a joint series of workshops for festival participants and interested young people before and during the film festival, focusing on the Basic Law and its significance for young people today. During the workshops, participants will work on short films and clips based on individual articles of the Basic Law, which will be compiled into a collaborative anthology film. The highlight of the series will be the major workshop at the Short Film Festival in Passau from July 18 to 21, 2024.

As a partner, the Forum Recht Foundation supports the workshop series by providing materials and expertise on teaching about the rule of law.
