"Law - the rules of everyday life": A pop-up exhibition by the Stiftung Forum Recht Dresden
The mobile pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life,“ organized by the Forum Recht Foundation, is making a stop in Dresden as part of its tour of Germany.
The interactive exhibition will be on view around the clock every day from October 14 through November 2, 2025, on the plaza in front of Dresden’s Kulturpalast. In Dresden, the Forum Recht Foundation is presenting the pop-up exhibition with the support of the Saxon State Ministry of Justice and the COSMO Science Forum.
Where do we encounter the law in our daily lives? How does it shape our lives? And who has what kind of experiences with the law? Whether we’re renting, working, driving, shopping, or spending time with family—the law is all around us. With the interactive pop-up exhibition „Law—The Rules of Everyday Life,“ the Forum Recht Foundation offers food for thought on these questions and invites visitors to get involved. Visitors can use a QR code and a web app on their own smartphones to record videos and share their personal experiences. Through these contributions, the exhibition evolves over its run and highlights a wide variety of perspectives.
As part of the accompanying program, the Forum Recht Foundation is hosting a two-day open discussion series titled „Zu Recht: Nachgefragt!“ right at the exhibition. There, visitors can talk with a lawyer, a judge, or other legal professionals about the „rules of everyday life“—in a relaxed and down-to-earth setting. A card game featuring personal, everyday, and technical questions about the law and the rule of law—developed by the Forum Recht Foundation specifically for this format and its broader educational work—helps kick off the conversation. In this way, exhibition visitors can discover in a playful way how the law permeates our daily lives and discuss different perspectives on the rule of law.
