„Law and Art“ Guided Tour at the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe

On June 26, 2025, the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe, in collaboration with the Forum Recht Foundation, will offer a tandem tour of the exhibition „gute aussichten – junge deutsche fotografie 2023/2024“ on the topic of „Law and Art.“ It is part of the „Kunst im Duo“ series.

In dialogue with Marie-Elisabeth Miersch, a research associate at the Forum Recht Foundation, leads the curator Dr. Lil Helle Thomas through the exhibition.

One of the works on display is the installation „The Last Sign.“ The artist Béla Avi Beinhold In it, he recounts finding a dead person and his reaction to having photographed the individual. The tandem tour addresses issues of artistic freedom, discusses privacy rights, and explores a society in which people die anonymously.
