Opening of the Photo Exhibition „SPRAWIEDLIWOŚĆ – GERECHTIGKEIT“
In his photo project „Sprawiedliwość – Justice,“ Polish photographer Piotr Wójcik documents the resistance of Judges, as well as prosecutors and attorneys against the The Erosion of the Rule of Law in Poland. Through his portraits, he presents people who, because of their perseverance, faced the threat of reprisals from Poland’s recently ousted right-wing conservative government. In the year marking the anniversary of the Basic Law, the exhibition demonstrates that the rule of law is not a given, either at home or abroad. After stops in Warsaw and The Hague, the international photo exhibition will now be on view for the first time in Germany at the Forum Recht Foundation in Karlsruhe from February 16 to April 7, 2024. Prof. Dr. Paulina Starski (Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg) will provide insights into the exhibition’s themes with a short lecture.
On February 15, 2024, photographer Piotr Wójcik and the Forum Recht Foundation invite you to the opening of the exhibition in Karlsruhe (Karlstraße 45A, Karlsruhe). Immerse yourself in the photographic perspectives and engage in conversation with the photographer.
The event, as well as the exhibition and the accompanying program, are free of charge.

Thursday and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Additionally, on the Saturday of the first and last exhibition weekends (February 17 and April 6), from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Closed on holidays.
