JURA-SLAM 2026 – Preliminary Round in Leipzig
On June 9, 2026, our stage in Leipzig will host the Central German preliminary round of the DAV Law Slams 2026. Young slam poets—whether they’re just starting college, in the middle of their studies, or about to take their state exam—present their own poems, which are judged by the audience on both content and performance. They are free to choose any topic, but the poems must have a legal connection.
The event is organized in cooperation with the Law Student Council at the University of Leipzig and the German Bar Association.
More about the format
The DAV Law Slam is a competition for aspiring lawyers to deliver the most incisive, understandable, and engaging short presentation on the topic of law and the study of law. The goal is to make legal content accessible to a broader audience and to promote the communication skills of aspiring lawyers. The winner of the preliminary round will qualify for the finals of the DAV Jura-Slam 2026, which will be hosted by the German Bar Association on November 17, 2026, in Berlin.
