On September 15, the foundation will be represented at the Day of Democracy on Kronenplatz alongside other civil society actors from Karlsruhe.

Starting at 7 p.m., TRIANGEL Open Space at TRIALOG will bring together experts from academia, business, and civil society on one stage to explore the topic “Democracy—Paths, Mistakes, Realities” from various perspectives. Speakers include:  

  • Prof. Renate Dürr, adjunct professor at KIT in logic and the philosophy of the Middle Ages and the modern era
  • Franziska Grethe, LL.M., Forum Recht Foundation, Staff Member of the Executive Board
  • Uwe Lübbermann, co-founder and member of the PREMIUM Collective 
  • Prof. Dr. Melanie Volkamer, Head of the SECUSO (Security, Usability, Society) Research Group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT)
  • Dr. phil. Michael Schmidt-Salomon, co-founder and spokesperson for the board of the Giordano Bruno Foundation

TRIALOG—the new format in the TRIANGEL Open Space—creates time, space, and new perspectives to facilitate open exchange and discussions among equals. The goal is knowledge transfer at all levels: informing, engaging, and participating—for everyone who wants to deepen their understanding of socially relevant topics. 

TRIALOG will take place on September 15, 2022, as part of the Days of Democracy. The program is organized and designed by TRIANGEL Open Space and the Karlsruhe Youth Committee. Partners include intro CAFÉ, jubez, the German-Speaking Muslim Circle of Karlsruhe, Amnesty International, the Anti-Discrimination Office of the Karlsruhe City Youth Committee, the Democracy Center, the KIT Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis, Partnerships for Democracy, the Forum Recht Foundation, the PREMIUM Collective, and the Baden-Württemberg Local Democracy Initiative.
