Film Workshop at the Bavarian Children's and Youth Film Festival
The Bavarian Children's and Youth Film Festival (BKJFF) will take place this year from July 18 to 21 and will be held for the first time in Passau, Lower Bavaria. Since 1989, the BKJFF has provided a platform for young filmmakers up to age 26.
As a partner, the Forum Recht Foundation is participating in the film festival with a workshop on creating video clips. In this workshop, the young participants will explore the annual theme of „Heroes“ and this year’s anniversary of the Basic Law in a creative and playful way. The clips created will be combined to form an episodic film to be presented at the festival. The film screenings during the BKJFF in Passau are open to the public and are particularly suitable for children, teens, and film enthusiasts.
The Bavarian Children's and Youth Film Festival 2024 is an event organized by the JFF – Institute for Media Education and the Bavarian Youth Council (BJR) in collaboration with the Lower Bavaria District Youth Council. Other partners of the festival include the Passau City Youth Council, the Passau District with its District Youth Council, the University of Passau, and the Bavarian Regional Association of the German Youth Hostel Association. Supporters of the festival include the Bavarian State Ministry of Family, Labor, and Social Affairs; the seven Bavarian districts, represented by the District of Lower Bavaria; the Bavarian State Office for New Media (BLM); and the City of Passau.
