„Days of Democracy“: City Walking Tour „Truly Urban!“ Europe Edition

From September 18 to 20, 2025, the TRIANGEL Transfer | Culture | Space For the fourth year in a row, Karlsruhe is hosting the „Days of Democracy“ and, with a diverse program, offers opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss, and get involved in topics related to a vibrant democracy.

On Thursday, September 18, the Forum Recht Foundation will participate in two program events.
To 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. is hosting a special edition of its city tour "Quite urban!" Through Karlsruhe: The tour focuses on Europe and European law. During the walk through Karlsruhe, participants will learn who is responsible for what in Europe and how European law affects our daily lives. The approximately two-hour city tour is conducted in German. Participants should wear clothing appropriate for the weather. The meeting point is the Tourist Information Office, Kaiserstraße 72-74, 76133 Karlsruhe, OR at 3:15 p.m. at komorebi on Kronenplatz.

To 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. TRIANGEL, in partnership with the Forum Recht Foundation, is hosting the Trialogue on „Resilient Democracy“. Can civil society still save democracy? The audience and experts will discuss how the law and its institutions can protect democracy. Prof. Dr. Rolf-Ulrich Kunze, a contemporary historian, will examine this area of tension from both a historical and a current scholarly perspective, while Jörg Müller, President of the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe, brings a societal perspective to the discussion. Jonas Pasche, entrepreneur and founder of UberSpace, will demonstrate how democratic economic models can be implemented in practice. The panel discussion will be complemented by Frank Roth, Vice President of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce, who explores the business community’s responsibility toward democracy.
