5 years Showcase Karlsruhe: Theme evening about Law

Karlsruhe is the "residence of law": the central organs of the German constitutional state are based in the city, and it is also where decisions in principle are made that shape life in Germany. How is this perceived in Karlsruhe? Where are the Basic Law and democracy to be found in city life?

Showcase Karlsruhe invites to an exciting panel discussion on the topic of "Residence of Law - Rule of Law and Democracy in Karlsruhe".

The panel guests:

• Thomas Stelzl, Head of Outreach and Education at the Stiftung Forum Recht
• Kerstin Brandt, "Roben nach Maß": The dressmaker for the Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe
• Daniel Melchien, Managing Director of the Karlsruhe City Youth Committee (Stadtjugendausschuss)

They will discuss the importance of sharing knowledge with the city's locals, how to introduce children and young people to the topics of law and democracy, what the election of populists means for the rule of law, and much more.

The audience is invited to take the opportunity to ask questions and actively participate in the discussion.
