"Law in Dialogue" Forum: Insights with Cord Brügmann and Martin Eifert

To kick off 2026, the Forum Recht Foundation cordially invites its Leipzig network, former and future partners from the fields of law, culture, and education, as well as interested citizens, to join in a discussion. Featuring a judge from the Federal Constitutional Court Prof. Dr. Martin Eifert Foundation Director Dr. Cord Brügmann looks ahead to the coming year: How will the 75th anniversary of the Federal Constitutional Court in 2026 engage the Federal Constitutional Court and the Forum Recht Foundation beyond Karlsruhe? How can the Federal Constitutional Court and legal education initiatives address the recently empirically documented decline in trust in the Federal Constitutional Court? What contribution can the Forum Recht Foundation’s program highlights in 2026—ranging from an exhibition on law in everyday life to city tours and a symposium on educating the public about the rule of law—make toward this end?

Afterward, the focus will be on networking: Exchange ideas with one another and with team members from the Forum Recht Foundation—about topics that concern us all, and about new, perhaps shared, ideas for the coming year! We would especially like to thank the FORUM RECHT Support Association We'll be providing drinks and a small buffet.

Prof. Prof. Dr. Martin Eifert has been a justice of the Federal Constitutional Court since 2023. Prior to that, he held, among other positions, the Chair of Public Law, with a focus on Administrative Law, at Humboldt University in Berlin, where he also served as dean of the School of Law.

As part of the series „Forum Recht in Dialogue: Insights with Cord Brügmann,“ the Forum Recht Foundation invites fascinating figures from the judiciary, legal institutions, cultural organizations, and the education sector to share brief insights several times a year after work. Together with Dr. Cord Brügmann, director of the Forum Recht Foundation, they explore a different topic each time that the Foundation is currently addressing: ranging from current legal issues and future trends in law to recent developments at the Forum Recht Foundation and reflections on what it can learn from others in the process.
