Is the law always fair? What are the principles of the rule of law? How does the law shape our daily lives?
The outreach team at the Forum Recht Foundation offers a variety of workshops on the topics of law and the rule of law and is continually expanding its offerings. The workshops are designed for schools, clubs, and other groups. For more information on the respective target audiences, please see the workshop descriptions.

Workshop for School Classes
About the play „The Wave“
„Power Through Community! Power Through the Law?“
What's it about?
The Karlsruhe Youth State Theater and the Forum Recht Foundation are jointly offering a workshop for school classes on the play „The Wave“ Based on the play’s plot, participants learn how rules and laws shape a community and can both integrate people and exclude them. To this end, examples from the past and present are discussed in which exactly that has happened.
In a combination of theater-based educational follow-up and instruction on the rule of law, participants actively engage with the topics of community and (in)justice.
Target audience: Teens ages 14 and older
Who is leading the workshop:
This program was developed jointly by theater educators from the State Theater and staff members of the Forum Recht Foundation. Depending on availability, the workshop is conducted either jointly by both teams or solely by the theater or the foundation.
Where will the workshop take place?
We’d be happy to visit your facility. However, you can also combine this program with a school theater visit or a visit to the Forum Recht Foundation.

City Walking Tours Through
Karlsruhe and Leipzig

What's it about?
What exactly does the Federal Court of Justice do, and what about the Federal Administrative Court? What’s the deal with the right to protest? And how does the law relate to our everyday lives? The free city tour „Recht stadtlich!“ (Law in the City!), organized by the Forum Recht Foundation, answers these and many other questions. Together, we’ll encounter curiosities and scandals—both big and small—and learn about courts and fascinating legal cases. Follow us on a journey through the rule of law and discover a whole new side of Karlsruhe and Leipzig.
Target audience: People of all ages 12 and older
Guided tours in simplified language and with a shorter route are available upon request.
Who is leading the tour?
This program was developed by the outreach team at the Forum Recht Foundation, which conducts the city tours with the support of trained staff.
Where do the city walking tours take place?
The city walking tours take place at our two foundation locations in Karlsruhe and Leipzig.
In Karlsruhe, we offer city walking tours from April through October every second Thursday of the month from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
In Leipzig, the city walking tours also take place from April through October on the third Thursday of every month. Please be aware of any exceptions and special dates—we’ll announce them via our Calendar.
