Description of the Event Space

The entrance to the foundation is located at Karlstraße 45 A.

The entrance door is a glass swing door that can be opened using a handle. It is 110 cm wide. It does not open automatically. During events, staff members are always on hand to keep an eye on the door and assist with entry.

The door leads directly into the open event space. Depending on the event, chairs are arranged in rows or individual standing tables are scattered throughout the room. The room is narrow and long. The entrance is on one side, and the stage is usually set up on the other, narrower side.

The room has open windows facing Karlsstraße and Herrenstraße on two sides. Seating is available if needed. On the left side, an open staircase leads to the first floor and the office spaces, which are not used for events and are generally not open to the public.

The accessible restroom is also located on the ground floor, in the extension of the building. The path leads to the left at the far end of the room into a hallway (124 cm wide), at the end of which the restroom door (93 cm wide) is located on the left. The restroom door does not open automatically. Please feel free to ask our staff for assistance if you need help.

For events with seating, either the stage is located at the back of the room with rows of chairs arranged in front of it, or the stage is set up in front of the windows. In this case, the chairs are arranged across the entire depth of the room, facing the windows. The stage is illuminated with spotlights depending on the event. A small sound system with two speakers is used for amplification at most events. We have portable handheld microphones that can also be handed out to the audience when they wish to speak.

Description of the Event Space

The entrance to the foundation is located at the corner of Universitätsstraße and Schillerstraße and faces Schillerstraße.

You can reach the foundation’s entrance door by going straight ahead up a step and down a ramp that runs alongside the door. The entrance door is a sliding glass door. It opens and closes automatically during events. If you visit us outside of an event and the door does not open automatically, please ring the bell. The bell is located on the mailbox to the left of the door.

Behind the door is a curtain that is open in the middle or, during events, is pushed completely to one side to allow easy access. The open event space begins immediately beyond it. Depending on the event, chairs are arranged in rows or individual standing tables are scattered throughout the room. The room is narrow and elongated. On one narrow side is the entrance with an automatic sliding door and a vestibule; on the other narrow side, the stage is usually set up. There are no other separate rooms.

On the right side is a continuous window wall overlooking Universitätsstraße. Below the windows are wide window sills that can also be used as seating. On the left side, an open staircase leads to the first floor and the office spaces, which are not used for events and are generally not open to the public.

At events with seating, the stage is located at the back of the room, and the rows of chairs are arranged in front of it. Depending on the event, the stage is illuminated by spotlights. A small sound system with two speakers is used for amplification at most events. We have portable handheld microphones that can also be handed out to the audience when they wish to speak.
