In their study published in 2021, \u201eNational Security During the Cold War: The Federal Prosecutor's Office Between Its Nazi Past, the *Spiegel* Affair, and the RAF<\/em>\u201cIn this book, Christoph Safferling and Friedrich Kie\u00dfling provide insight into the history of the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office between 1950 and 1974.\u201d.<\/p>\n

What impact did Nazi ideology have on the work of the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office? How has the significance of national security changed over time? And what conclusions can be drawn from the study for the present day\u2014for example, with regard to legal education?<\/p>\n

We will discuss these questions with the authors Prof. Dr. Christoph<\/strong> Safferling <\/strong>(FAU Erlangen) and Prof. Dr. Friedrich<\/strong> Kie\u00dfling <\/strong>(University of Bonn), Prof. Dr. Michael Zwanzger<\/strong> (University of Leipzig), Dr. Peter Frank<\/strong> (Attorney General at the Federal Court of Justice) and Prof. Dr. Dirk van Laak<\/strong> (University of Leipzig) will be discussing this on the panel!<\/p>\n

The event will begin with opening remarks by Dr. Peter Frank<\/strong> (Federal Prosecutor General), Prof. Dr. Andreas Korbmacher<\/strong> (Deputy President of the Federal Administrative Court) and Henrike Claussen<\/strong> (Forum Recht Foundation) supported and through Annelie Kaufmann <\/strong>will be moderated.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
