Since its establishment, the Federal Constitutional Court has been the subject of repeated controversy\u2014whether regarding the process for electing judges, the scope of its rulings, or its proximity to politics. On the other hand, there has been a great deal of discussion in recent years about how the Federal Constitutional Court can be better protected. And a recent amendment to the Basic Law has made it more resilient to political attacks.<\/p>\n

Discuss these and other topics Thomas Offenloch,<\/strong> Federal Constitutional Court Justice, Prof. Dr. Gabriele Abels<\/strong>, a political scientist and lay judge at the Constitutional Court of the State of Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg, and the attorney Dr. Roya Sangi <\/strong>on stage and with you in the audience.
