On Wednesday, November 26, our after-work event will take place again \u201eLaw in Dialogue Forum\u201c<\/strong> It will take place at our foundation\u2019s premises in Leipzig. This time, our guest is the comedian, host, and event organizer Monif<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With shows like \u201eKarli Comedy\u201c and \u201eMagdeburg lacht,\u201c Monif creates platforms for diverse voices, sharp observations of everyday life, and social commentary. Together with Dr Cord Br\u00fcgmann<\/strong> Monif will talk about where comedy and the law intersect. He\u2019ll also discuss whether the topics of law and the rule of law have ever made it onto his stage.<\/p>\n

Following the discussion, we invite all guests to join us for a relaxed get-together over a drink.<\/p>\n

Since 2021, Monif has been a full-time artist, initially as the artistic director of the dance theater production \u201eThe Nutcracker \u2013 Classical Meets Breakdancing\u201c<\/span><\/em>. In 2022, he turned to stand-up comedy, and in 2023, he founded Karli Comedy<\/span><\/strong>, now the largest comedy brand in Central Germany. <\/span>With formats such as Magdeburg Laughs<\/span><\/em>, Halle Laughs<\/span><\/em> and the Karli Comedy Club Leipzig <\/span><\/em>(Since 2024) Monif has been enriching the regional comedy scene. His goal: to promote cultural participation, revitalize stages in the east, and use humor to address social tensions and political polarization.<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, the Forum Recht Foundation is hosting regular evening discussions at its locations in Karlsruhe and Leipzig. The events will feature fascinating guests from the legal community, cultural institutions, and the education sector. In a brief presentation, they will join Director Dr. Cord Br\u00fcgmann in exploring a topic related to the work of the Forum Recht Foundation\u2014ranging from current issues in law and the rule of law to future trends and developments within the Forum Recht Foundation itself. Afterward, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in conversation over a drink.<\/p>\n
