Human dignity, equality, and freedom: The Basic Law was adopted 75 years ago and has since governed democratic coexistence under the rule of law in Germany. But where are the Constitution\u2019s promises being fulfilled in the everyday lives of young people today? And how do laws and fundamental rights protect future generations? Furthermore, how can our Constitution address not only current situations but also the challenges of the future?<\/p>\n
Young people between the ages of 17 and 27 will discuss these topics on Saturday, August 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with fascinating figures from the fields of justice, culture, and media at Karlsruhe\u2019s Marktplatz. These guests will answer questions but will also listen to what matters to young people regarding the future, democracy, the rule of law, and the Basic Law. As part of a diverse day-long program, the Youth Constitutional Discussions will shine a spotlight on the concerns and ideas of the younger generations.<\/p>\n
