As part of the \u201eLong Night of Science\u201c on Friday, June 23, an event will take place at the Forum Recht Foundation in Leipzig at the University Road 20<\/strong> that GlobeForum<\/strong> titled \u201eLife in a Time of Upheaval<\/strong>\u201c took place. Together with the partners of the Global Dynamics Research Center at the University of Leipzig<\/strong>transitional City of Leipzig<\/strong> and the Cyber Agency<\/strong> The foundation invites you to join the discussion on a society in transition.<\/p>\n

At the second podium \u201eThe New \u2018We\u2019? Life in a Society in Transition After \u201989\u201d<\/strong> Starting at 8:00 p.m., the event will offer a multifaceted look at the changes that have taken place since 1989. Together with distinguished guests, the discussion will focus on the social, political, and cultural developments that have had a lasting impact on life in the Federal Republic of Germany and in Europe since 1989, and will ask: What should a democratic \u201ewe\u201c look like that will enable our society to master the challenges of the future?
\nSpeakers on the panel will include, among others,. Dr. Fiona Kalkstein<\/strong>\u00a0(Deputy Director of the Else Frenkel Brunswik Institute for Democracy Research in Saxony, University of Leipzig), Dr. Alexander Leistner<\/strong> (Research Associate at the Erbe89 Research Consortium, University of Leipzig) and Prof. Dr. Astrid Lorenz<\/strong>\u00a0(Professor of the German Political System and European Politics, University of Leipzig).<\/p>\n

About the Research Centre Global Dynamics
\n<\/strong>The Research Center Global Dynamics is a central institution at the University of Leipzig. ReCentGlobe is dedicated to the study of past and present globalization processes. More than 250 staff members from various faculties and disciplines work together at the center. They collaborate with the Graduate School of Global and Area Studies on the education and training of early-career researchers.
