In cooperation with the Kinemathek Karlsruhe, we\u2019re embarking on a cinematic exploration of the topic \u201eLAW AND JUSTICE: BETWEEN UTOPIA AND REALITY\u201c<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Join us and a select group of experts in a discussion on climate, punishment, sports, and justice, and discover the highlights of international film culture with us.<\/p>\n

Our next movie and discussion night: \u201eAriaferma\u201c by Leonardo Di Costanzo (Italy \/ Switzerland 2021, original version with subtitles)<\/strong><\/p>\n

An old prison in the mountains is about to close. The few remaining inmates and staff are waiting to be transferred. The large building is in poor condition: the kitchen and other common areas are already closed. Little by little, the usual prison rules seem to make less and less sense, and the uncertain situation heightens tensions. Eventually, the head guard, Gaetano, and Carmine, a long-serving Mafioso, engage in a power struggle for control of the prison\u2026 With his film, Leonardo Di Constanzo has created a thrilling Drama<\/strong> created with existentialist undertones.<\/p>\n
