Every year in March, authors, publishers and book lovers flock to the Leipzig Book Fair to get to know and discuss the latest literary publications. This year, the Stiftung Forum Recht is also participating for the first time with three events on topics relating to law and the rule of law on 21 and 22 March 2024 in the accompanying program of \"Leipzig liest\".<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Thursday, March 21 at 16:00: Award ceremony of the writing competition \"The freedom I mean\" <\/strong><\/p>

This year's reading festival kicks off with the Stiftung Forum Recht hosting the award ceremony for the nationwide writing competition \"Die Freiheit, die ich meine\". With this competition, the association \"3 October - Germany sings and sounds\" offers young people an opportunity to deal with freedom rights through writing - with a new aspect each year. Over 800 entries were dedicated to this year's theme of \"Freedom of conscience\". We are pleased to support the Germany-wide writing competition and thus contribute to a discussion platform on fundamental rights. Dr. Stephan N. Barthelmess, Acting Director of the Foundation, is also a member of the competition jury this year. The winners can look forward to prize money totaling 4000 euros.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t

Thursday, March 21 at 19:00: Publication series \"Social Cohesion\" by Campus Verlag <\/strong><\/p>

The explosive event will continue with the presentation and discussion of the new publication series \"Gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt\" (Campus Verlag) on Thursday, March 21, 2024. What actually is social cohesion? What conditions, threats and variants of social cohesion can be measured and are there historical and international differences? The new publication series from the Research Institute for Social Cohesion explores these highly topical questions. Join us for a discussion with Dr. Maria Alexopoulou (Centre for Research on Anti-Semitism at the Technical University of Berlin\/University of Mannheim), Dr. Holger Backhaus-Maul (Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg), Dr. Angelina G\u00f6b (Institute for Economic and Cultural Geography at Leibniz University Hannover), Prof. Dr. Matthias Middell (Research Centre Global Dynamics (ReCentGlobe) at Leipzig University) and Dr. Axel Salheiser (Institute for Democracy and Civil Society Jena).
